The Northwestern Network Mentorship Program is a large-scale program that allows student and alumni mentees to choose their own alumni mentor based on their current and future career goals via an easy-to-use online platform. The purpose of the program is to cultivate meaningful, professional mentor/mentee relationships between accomplished alumni and current students or alumni.
Xinspire is easy to use and is always offering new innovative capabilities and interfaces. When we ask for the company to change something or design a solution for us based on something our particular needs, it happens in a short period of time and they’re willing to work with us.

University of Pittsburgh
We [at PittBusiness Mentoring Match] use Xinspire to connect undergraduates majoring in Business at the University of Pittsburgh with our vast network of alumni, both within the United States and all over the world. Feedback has been beyond our expectations. Both groups say the platform is easy to use and helps to facilitate meaningful mentoring relationships. Furthermore, the program’s launch went off without a hitch and no technical issues have been reported. We are now considering expanding our use of Xinspire to create an admissions tool where prospective students can contact current students for information on our school.
At Griffith University, we are in the 23rd year of Industry Mentoring. Our Program started out with just a handful of alumni excited to share their wisdom with emerging young professionals, and grew and grew from there - until we reached the limit of what our administrative staff could handle! Our Program is very high-touch, with mentors who stay involved with their mentees well past the Program completion, and return to mentor year after year. The demand for mentoring among our students is huge, and we were seeking a solution that would allow us to offer the experience of being mentored to more students, be efficient in order to conserve administrative resources, maximise our global alumni and industry connections, and most importantly, not compromise the high-touch nature of our Program. Xinspire does all of this and more!
In the first year, we grew our mentor pool by 50%, were able to develop different types of mentoring experiences for students at different stages of their degree and double our mentoring opportunities for students. Xinspire offers many ways for users to connect with one another. Leveraging off the primary mentor-mentee relationship, there are so many opportunities to create meaningful connections between users. We also love the way the mentoring interactions remain accessible to participants even after the relationship has ended - providing a great resource for reflection and insight. We chose Xinspire when there weren't many competitors in this space, but we stay with them because of their ingenious approach to mentoring, the functionality of the platform, and the collaborative and warm customer service.
We [at Boston College] use Xinspire to support our career prep course which requires students to connect with an Eagle Expert (typically an alum) for the purpose of both an informational chat and a mock interview. The platform allows students to match with an alum from a network of over 300 across a broad range of industries through a completely user-friendly, automated system that provides us with easy accessibility to manage and customize every part of it.
We love the overall design, ability to customize and the customer support. The design is easy to navigate and update. The interface allows us to monitor all mentorship activity as well as make quick and easy changes as needed. The customer support is incredible. Emily sees potential issues before we do and dives right in immediately to find the best solution for us. She provides us with options, clear instructions and effective tutorials on how to best manage our system. We could not be happier with this platform.
We evaluated over 20 mentoring platform options and Xinspire was the only product that was completely customizable to our unique program needs and the only product to come in at price point that was manageable for our budget. Amherst's program has students search for alumni mentors based on a variety of criteria. They are matched for a semester at a time. Students can also have quick conversations with alumni through the site.
